Where we decide to live shapes our lives, our sense of community, the place our children grow up, or perhaps the place we enjoy our later years. These aren't small decisions. Fred believes choices of this weight deserve the highest level of professionalism and dedication.

These beliefs are rooted in Fred's values and shaped by decades of experience guiding complex decisions with care, discipline, and perspective. Much of his professional life was spent building and leading international companies, negotiating complex agreements, managing teams, and navigating high-stakes global decisions at scale.

Alongside that career, real estate remained a constant thread for Fred – investing, renovating, building and selling properties with a careful eye toward what creates value, and what can quietly diminish it.

Those experiences shape the way Fred works with clients today: with strategic thinking, honest counsel, and a quiet confidence earned through decades of difficult decisions.

When Fred and Elaine co-founded Arch & Pillar Group, the intention was to build a practice that is advisory at its core and concierge in its execution - grounded in the belief that real estate decisions are deeply important and deserve a level of guidance everyone should expect. Clients consistently describe the Arch &Pillar experience as exceptional, measured, honest, and deeply personal.

Fred and Elaine obsess over one thing above all else: making sure their clients feel deeply supported when it matters most. Fred was raised in Portland, Maine, and his connection to the Maine and New Hampshire region runs deep. His family is still in Portland, and he's spent nearly his whole life along the coasts, lakes, and mountains of this region and taps into this knowledge as he guides clients on where they may decide to call home.

Fred and Elaine have made their home in Portsmouth for more than twenty years and spend their time outside of real estate with family, skiing, mountain biking, boating, and exploring all that New Hampshire and Maine have to offer.

Where we live doesn’t just reflect who we are, it shapes how we live, connect, and move forward in our communities. Elaine’s appreciation for place was shaped by a life that began on the tropical island of Saipan, continued through San Francisco, and eventually brought her to New England.

A trip to the East Coast that started as a travel adventure became something much more enduring: a deep connection to the Seacoast, the wonder of four seasons, and the traditions that make a place feel like home. Elaine's path to real estate was a natural progression of the work she had already spent years doing. Her background spans executive operations, brand development and marketing, business systems, and real estate investment. This range of experience taught her how to manage complexity with close attention to detail, without losing sight of the people involved.

Through her work in global sourcing across Portsmouth, Shanghai, and Ho Chi Minh City, she developed a refined ability to manage complex processes, anticipate needs, and help fast-moving organizations operate with clarity and control.

Today, that same discipline defines her approach at Arch & Pillar Group. Elaine guides buyers and sellers with thoughtful preparation, clear communication, meticulous follow- through, and a concierge-level standard of care. She understands that real estate is rarely just about a property.

It is trust, family, timing, finances, logistics, emotion, and future plans all moving at once. She takes pride in helping clients feel informed, supported, and confidently guided through each step. Outside of real estate, she finds joy in the experiences that make New England feel alive: hiking, biking, skiing, lakes, beaches, art, music, theater, travel, cooking, diverse cuisines, and keeping family close across any distance.

Clients experience Elaine as attentive, organized, and deeply invested in doing things well. For Elaine, home is where people gather, recharge, celebrate, begin again, and build what comes next - and helping clients move through decisions and details of the process with steadiness and care is work she cares about deeply.
